Meet Claire

Meet Claire
She is our other answered prayer.

She is a 8 month old little firecracker!
She has mastered crawling, sitting up and now trying to walk.
She is fast.
The picture above is her little personality.
She is always sticking her tongue out or has a smile on her face.
There are times wher she will give you a look and i can see the attitude.

I love to sit and watch her & Chloie play. She looks at her big sister with awe.
I think she already admires her.
I also love the look on her face when Cory walks in the door getting home from work.
She has the biggest smile on her face and her eyes are screaming daddy come here.
She is a momma's girl when she is hurt and sleepy but when she wants to play she wants her daddy or sissy.

I can't wait to see what  her personality is going to truly be.
I wonder what her voice will sound like and can't wait to see Chloie and her share special sister momnets.

So that my friends is Miss Claire!

Meet Cory

Meet Cory.
We have been married for 9 years.
He recently finished an Apprentice Lineman program and is now a Journeyman Lineman.
So if you are ever with out power he is one of the ones that gets is back on.

Where to start about Cory? Hmm...
I can honestly say that i believe God created this man for me. To be my husband, best friend, love of my life and father of my children.
He is a hard worker and i appreciate him so much. Probably more than he will ever know.

Cory is from a small West Texas town. So we did not grow up together.
But i am glad that he ventured down to SE Texas to go to school and that we met.

When he's not working he likes to hunt, fish and spend time with family and friends.

So there is a little bit about my honey!
Tomorrow is all about Miss Chloie!

All About Me

As stated in the previous post we recently took family pictures. The individual shots inspired me to do a post a day this week to introduce my family and I.
So here i go!

Who am I? Well i'm Crystal born and raised in a small SE Texas town.
I'm married to Cory (9yrs).
Mother to Chloie & Claire.
I'm a SAHM that enjoys doing crafts, baking, crocheting, scrapbooking & reading.
Those are just a few things about me.
My daily schedule is usually waking up
getting Chloie up, breakfast dressed for school then drop her off at school
back home Miss Claire and i eat breakfast, get dressed
clean house, do laundry, grocery shopping
pick Chloie up, get homework done, fix dinner, baths & bed time

Sounds kinda boring???

I wouldn't have it any other way.
Who am I used to be such a easy question answer,
but now the first 2 things that pop in my mind are wife and mother.

Before i would have talked about going out with friends, hair and nails done,
beach trips w/girlfriends in our itty bitty bikinis.

Now it's family dinners, snuggle time & date nights with Cory that are precious and mean the world to me.
As for those itty bitty bikinis those are long gone. The stretch marks and post baby body is worth it though to have my sweet girls.

Now i guess i could list some of my favorite things.
Music: i listen to just about everything
Food: Mexican & Italian
Books: Anything by Jodi Picoult & the Twilight Series

So that is a little about me. Have any questions feel free to ask away!
Tomorrow is Cory's day!

Picture Time

We had our family pictures taken recently by my friend Viv.
You can view them on her blog here: Chesser Family
I uploaded them all to here: The Chesser's

I am very grateful to Viv for capturing these precious moments in our life. We will treasure them forever.
The next few days i will be posting a pic of a family member and introducing them. I realized in my few years of blogging that i have not introduced us! Stay tuned.

Oh Fabric Tree, Oh Fabric Tree

So while visiting over at http://www.allthingsheartandhome.com/ i ran across this cute little Fabric Tree she made and had to make one to. She has a tutorial there to show you how to make one. I didn't go purchase a wooden base i just cut a 2x4 to size and used a dowel rod i already had.
Here is my version:

Then i couldn't leave out a pic of this little guy i found at the thrift store. Chloie says i need to touch him up he's a little "scratched up" but i think he has charm!

Never Forget

The finest tribute we can pay
Unto our hero dead to-day,
Is not a rose wreath, white and red,
In memory of the blood they shed;
It is to stand beside each mound,
Each couch of consecrated ground,
And pledge ourselves as warriors true
Unto the work they died to do.

Into God's valleys where they lie
At rest, beneath the open sky,
Triumphant now o'er every foe,
As living tributes let us go.
No wreath of rose or immortelles
Or spoken word or tolling bells
Will do to-day, unless we give
Our pledge that liberty shall live.

Our hearts must be the roses red
We place above our hero dead;
To-day beside their graves we must
Renew allegiance to their trust;
Must bare our heads and humbly say
We hold the flag as dear as they,
And stand, as once they stood, to die
To keep the Stars and Stripes on high.

The finest tribute we can pay
Unto our hero dead to-day
Is not of speech or roses red,
But living, throbbing hearts instead,
That shall renew the pledge they sealed
With death upon the battlefield;
That freedom's flag shall bear no stain
And free men wear no tyrant's chain.
